Responsibilities for nursing positions may include:

Administering Chemotherapy and other medications as ordered.

Teaching patients/caregivers regarding diagnosis process, medications, treatments and potential side effects.

Maintaining accurate record of patient care through documentation.

Assisting physician in hospital and clinic settings.

Triaging phone messages and relaying information to physicians with timely follow-up.

Consulting with physician, staff, and patient/ caregiver to ensure high quality patient care.

Assessing all aspects of the patient status and reporting to physician as needed.

Attending staff meetings as scheduled.

Complying with clinic safety policies and procedures.

Respecting the dignity and confidentiality of the patients.

Possessing good communication skills that lend to a team-oriented work environment.

Assisting with training and orientation of new employees as assigned.

Maintaining a good attendance record and a professional attitude and appearance.

Performing on-call duties as assigned.

Performing all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Must have RN license for State of Tennessee and Mississippi

Oncology certification preferred

Must have excellent organization and follow-up skills

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving skills

Must have ability to organize and prioritize work assignments

Must have ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Must have ability to analyze situations and respond in a timely manner

Must have ability to participate in multi-functional teams and to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the West Clinic

Must be proficient in computer applications including EMR, word processing and e-mail

Additional hours may be required.
