Mesa General Hospital, located in the Valley of the Sun, in Mesa, Arizona opened in 1965 and is licensed for 126 beds. We are a full service hospital known for our outstanding cardiology and cardiovascular surgery procedures, including a cardiac catherization lab and a chest pain center in our emergency room. Our hospital was one of the first hospitals in the valley to utilize a robotic surgical system for some of the advanced surgical procedures. There is a busy ER, strong surgery programs and advanced diagnostic imaging services for in-patients and out-patients.
Mesa's Womens Center provides a wide array of services and educational classes, labor and delivery suites, cesarean section rooms and a Level II nursery.
Our nurses provide direct and indirect patient care, while communicating with Physicians/Nurse Manager/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Our nurses are able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. We currently have Full time positions available on the Day shift (7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.) and Night shift (7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.).

REQUIREMENTS
Responsibilities and requirements for this position include:
*Knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on age of the patient and their clinical condition.
*Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity; ensures patient confidentiality.
*Ability to revise plan of care as indicated by the patient’s response to treatment and evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness.
*Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy.
*Performs patient care responsibilities considering needs specific to the standard of care for patient’s age.
* Demonstrates an ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations.
*Formulates a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs and evaluates effectiveness of learning, family is included in teaching as appropriate.
*Demonstrates an ability to assist physicians with procedures and performs services requiring technical and manual skills.
*Current Arizona Registered Nurse Licensure,BCLS certificate, ACLS certificate. Experience working with heart patients and pulling sheaths. Successful completion of arrhythmia course
