Registered Nurse

Good Shepherd Communities is a Christian-based non-profit providing service to adults with developmental disabilities. We are not a nursing home, but rather provide alternative living for our clients via group homes, supervised apartments, and day programs. We are seeking a Registered Nurse to work with Program Managers and other agency staff to support the medical needs of our clients.

The duties of the RN include the following: Evaluating the medical needs of individuals supported by GSC, developing nursing care-plans and reviewing those plans on a monthly basis charting progress. The RN will be monitoring the use, effectiveness and therapeutic effects of medications. The RN will also help train staff in medical procedures as needed. The RN will, when requested, attend doctor appointments with the Program Manager or designated staff. He/she will review physician orders and medical documentation by staff and consult with staff as needed. The RN will work closely with Program Managers to assure the health of individuals served by GSC.

Some bending and lifting is necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
License of a Registered Nurse. Good communication skills. Computer skills. Drivers license and the willingness to drive. Eligible to work in the United States.
