RN-Wound Care

Responsible for suggesting activities for the multidisciplinary approach to the total patient care in the Wound Care Center. Responsible for the Policy and Procedure Wound Care Center manual for the delivery of acute and chronic wound care. Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school (BSN preferred). Current Registered Nursing License in the state you will be practicing. Current ACLS Certification preferred or within six (6) months of employment. Certified CWON or WOCN (preferred). Knowledge of AHCPR guidelines for pressure ulcers. Determine Etiology assessment treatment and provide follow up care for the treatment of wounds. Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively and effectively with patients, visitors and physicians. Good organization, delegation and communication skills to facilitate efficient patient care. Strong demonstrated ability in assessment, analytical decision making and critical thinking. Leadership ability and coordination skills. Familiarity with PC’s and computerized nursing systems and tools, or demonstrated ability to learn.
