Department: TCU (Transitional Care Unit)Schedule: Full-timeShift: Variable daysHours: 7 am to 7 pmJob Details: 2-4 years of Med Surg required, 2 years rehab or long term preferred - Current BCLS, ACLS preferred Current WY RN license is required. - Maintains current CPR certification. - Maintains any specialty certifications as required by department. - Must be able to stand, sit or walk for long periods of time. - Must be able to lift/transfer/carry at least 50lbs using appropriate assistive devices. - Must be able to assess, evaluate, explain, teach, problem solve using critical thinking, and perform calculations. - Must have good communication skills with patients, families, supervisors, co-workers, and physicians.Works under the supervision of the Director, Clinical Nurse Manager, and Charge Nurse of the Transitional Care Unit. The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and supervises individual patient care according to unit policies and procedures. Accepts responsibility for direction on co-workers in the implementation of care plans. May be required to work on other nursing units according to distribution of staff and patients. Performs other duties as assigned. Employee will maintain confidentiality at all times.
