The Clinical Nurse utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment and nursing skills in the care of neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics based upon the principles of the biological, physical and social sciences to: a) Facilitate the patient’s achievement of optimum health status. b) Provide leadership and coordination to the health care team to facilitate the patient’s achievement of optimum health status. c) Maintain the standards of professional nursing practice. Interacts with all levels of MVH staff, physicians, patients families, and external contracts in a dynamic environment. Synthesizes and prioritizes data from multiple sources to provide support for the human response of the patient and family to changes in health status.
