Located in Modesto, Memorial Medical Center opened on May 1, 1970. Licensed for 300 acute care beds, the facility is part of Memorial Hospitals Association, a not-for-profit organization that exists to maintain and improve the health status of citizens in greater Stanislaus County. Serving the greater Stanislaus County with 313 plus acute care beds, Memorial Medical Center provides a full continuum of care including 24-hour emergency care, inpatient and outpatient surgery, obstetrics, pediatrics, nuclear medicine, dialysis therapy, diagnostic imaging, intensive care, physical therapy, skilled nursing services and home health. Specialized care includes Memorial Regional Cancer Center, Memorial Heart Institute and Medi-Flight of Northern California.

The RN functions within the full scope of licensure and will implement the nursing process to include the following: assess patient and family needs; develop a plan of care based on assessment; direct implementation of the plan of care for a group of patiends in collaboration with the charge nurse and review and evaluate effectiveness of care plan. These duties include lifting and turning of patients, performing prescribed treatments, assisting with ADL (activities of daily living), and administration of medications PO, IM, and IV.

The RN assures that physiological, psychosocial, safety, learning, rehabilitative, spiritual, cultural, and self-care needs of patients and families are addressed.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Current licensure as an RN in the State of California. Preferred qualifications: Baccalaureated Degree, and, National certification in area of specialty. Knowledge: In depth knowledge of nursing process in addressing physical, psychosocial, and psychological needs of patients. Demonstrates basic knowledge of unit specific age criteria for patinet population. Special Skills/Equipment: Successful completion of MHA's orientation/90 day provisional program.
