RN- Inpatient Hospice

Department: Inpatient HospiceSchedule: Part-timeShift: Variable shiftHours: 8 hour shiftsJob Details: Current Wyoming Nursing License and valid CPR required - Minimum 1 year experience in acute medical/surgical nursing required. Hospice & palliative Care, specifically Hospice Inpatient Unit preferred. - An understanding of and compatibility with end of life issues. - Responsible for the direction of all aspects of patient care. - Communicates thoroughly & effectively with all staff & physicians regarding patient condition, family needs, etc. in order to provide a current & appropriate plan of care. - Is an integral part of the interdisciplinary team in providing superior patient care in accordance with department standards & the philosophy of Hospice and Palliative Care. - Will model and mentor exemplary behavior among the members of the Hospice team. - Must be able to stand, sit or walk for long periods of time and be able to lift/transfer/carry at least 50# using proper body mechanics.
