The Physical Therapist provides physical therapy services and elements of patient/client care management leading to optimal outcomes according to the Wisconsin Physical Therapy Standard of Practice. The Physical Therapist works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team in the areas of education and consultation regarding patient care needs in accordance with the vision and mission of Gundersen/Lutheran.This position will work within our Onalaska Clinic and main La Crosse campus.Formal Education/Learning Experience:
Required: Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent.
Desired: Advanced training in specialized area of physical therapy.Prior Work Experience:
Desired: 1-3 years experience in related field.Skills/Knowledge:
Required: Ability to adapt to changing work needs, strong communication skills, ability to work cooperatively with team, ability to provide effective customer service to internal and external consumers. Basic computer skillsLicenses/Certifications:
Required: State Physical Therapy licensePhysical Requirements/Demands of the Position
Exerting up to 80 pounds force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Position may include frequent bending, standing and walking, and occasionally twisting, kneeling, squatting and balancing. Need manual dexterity and strength to achieve routine patient care interventions.
