Patient Safety Assistant Coordinator - 9948 - 34222

Consults with corporate departments and facilities regarding patient care issues, safety issues and operational issues related to medication safety. Supports ePOM implementation and associated process improvements. Facilitates corporate departments in the planning and deployment of sagey software,including IT&S, HPG, service lines, quality standards, etc. Develops planning processes and project tools to ensure quality review and maintenance of current and future ePOM facilities. Maintains a working knowledge of the Meditech software, specifically related to eMAR and Bar Coding. Communicates operational technological improvements to facilities as information becomes available (Ex. best demonstrated practices, rule development, etc.). Plans, develops and contributes to educational programs sponsored by HCA. Maintains cooperative relationships with corporate and facility staff to ensure customer input into program development and program evaluation. Maintains professional and ethical relationships with HCA vendors participating in educational programs. Maintains proficiency in industry development related to Patient Safety.Qualifications College graduate, Masters Degree preferred. RN/BSN required. 3-5 years experience as a clinician. Previous management experience desirable. Clinical or managerial experience in direct patient care. Experience in project management and Patient Safety Initiatives desirable. Meditech experience preferred. Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods. Ability to travel approximately 80%.
