PALLIATIVE CARE/ONCOLOGY NURSE PRACTITIONER--SALARY TO $80,000+
SEEKING AN EXPERIENCED HEMATOLOGY-ONCOLOGY/PALLIATIVE CARE NURSE PRACTITIONER OR PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT FOR A UNIQUE AND HIGHLY-DESIRABLE GROUND-FLOOR OPPORTUNITY IN WISCONSIN
The Nevins Group isconducting an exclusive search for a new Palliative Care/Hematology-Oncology Mid-Level Provider position. Here are some key points about the position and employer:We have a longstanding relationship with this quality employer, and have placed a Nurse Practitioner who has been working successfully with the organization for several years. We spoke with her recently, and she is very happy at her position, saying it was "the best decision" she's made in a long time and that she's "very happy" working there.
You will work with a well-regarded physician with a big personality who is exceedingly generous and on top of things. The Nurse Practitioner we placed said, "He is the most generous and caring physician I've ever worked with."
The culture of the organization is very patient-oriented. The doctor is compassionate, the staff is compassionate, and that's what we need in a new Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
You will be responsible for treating patients in a hospice program encompassing both inpatient and outpatient duties. You will also have the opportunity to treat oncology patients undergoing chemotherapy and other regimens.
The work schedule will be Monday through Friday, dayshift, and you will work probably around 45-47 hours a week. Comparatively-light call is a possibility, but is not likely in your first year or two with this organization.
We are looking for an experienced Oncology or Palliative Care Mid-Level Provider with a "hospice heart"; we are looking for a candidate who truly cares about his or her palliative care patients. We would also potentially consider NP candidates with extensive and very recent palliative care RN experience coupled with other current nurse practitioner experience.
We seek a candidate with strong organizational abilities and exceptional diplomatic skills. Management experience is a plus, but is not necessary. You will need to have previous job tenures of at least 2-3 years on average, coupled with very positive references.
The pay is $65,000 to $80,000+, depending upon experience and other factors. In addition, relocation assistance of up to $5,000+ will also be provided. There's also discretionary year-end bonus $$, and a very generous retirement plan. All of the above is being offered in an area with a comparatively-low cost-of-living.
This undisclosed location in Southern Wisconsin is considered to be desirable and we've gotten very positive feedback on the area from the Nurse Practitioner whom we had previously placed.
There's a lot more to tell you about this position if you are an experienced Oncology or Palliative Care Mid-Level Provider seeking a career in a pretty part of Wisconsin, and we'd be more than happy to do so for qualified candidates, after reviewing your resume and cover letter. For immediate consideration, please email your presentation-quality resume as a Microsoft Word or RTF attachment to [Click here for email]. Please include in the title of your email message, “Palliative Care NP/PA position-CB1WI” and please include a short cover letter verifying you have substantial palliative care or oncology mid-level provider experience. Please note that information in this job "description" field and the job "requirements" field below supercedes information in other parts of the job posting.
