Nurse Practitioner

Nurse PractitionerJob Description:
New Arizona Family, Inc., (NAFI) established in 1970, is a non-profit behavioral health care agency. We have a position available for Nurse Practitioner (NP). At NAFI you will learn expand on your existing skills, while making a difference in your community.
The NP will be responsible for providing direct care services to our outpatient consumers with the challenges of substance abuse and serious mental illness. This position is a direct report of the Medical Director for medical and clinical matters and the site Coordinator for administrative and therapeutic issues.Responsibilities:
Psychiatric evaluations
Prescribing of medications
Medication management
Development of therapeutic relationships with consumers
Recommendations of treatment plans for consumers
Consultation for members of multi-discipline treatment team
Coordination of medical care and services for consumers
Maintenance of medical records
Participation in clinical and medical staff meetings
REQUIREMENTS
Nurse PractitionerExperience and licensure requirements:
Minimum of 2 years experience practicing in the behavioral health field
Current and valid license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or as a Physician Assistant in the State of Arizona
Full prescription authority with current D.E.A. licensure
Evidence of current medical malpractice insurance
Completion of applicable RN/NP/PA degree program
