As a Nurse Manager for Community Health Center, you will:
• Plan, organize, and deliver nursing activities to promote highest level of patient care and satisfaction within the scope of the Connecticut Nurse Practice Act
• Collaborate with other team members including chief physician, practice manager, and support staff to accomplish assigned goals and responsibilities
• Assures compliance with regulatory standards, including but not limited to JCAHO, OSHA/EOC, Safety/Infection Control, Quality Care Audits, DPH licensure requirements
• Supervise, manage, and ensure compliance with agency policy regarding telephonic patient instructions and triage
• Provide direct and indirect patient education, and provide leadership to nursing staff in providing patient education
• Directly supervise employees in CHC’s Middletown medical practice
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
• Some responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
• Have the opportunity to work on an extremely effective clinical team
• Develop strong collegial relationships among medical staff

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
• Current Connecticut RN license
• MSN Degree in Community Health Nursing preferred
• Minimum of 3-5 years supervisory experience
• Minimum of 2 years clinical ambulatory experience
• Current CPR certification
• Current Driver’s license
• Commitment to care of underserved populations
