Clinical Supervisor

Responsible for working with AOP Program Director to oversee all operations of AOP; to supervise directly some of AOP staff and to provide direct service to own client caseload. Provides comprehensive assessment and treatment to clients with a wide range of emotional disorders & behavioral problems; ensures appropriate admission, assessment and treatment planning and engages in QA activities within the unit. Direct Clinical Services: provides clinical treatment services to adults, and families (individual/group/family treatment). Completes all necessary transactions with insurance and managed care companies. Clinical Supervision– Provides clinical supervision to unit clinicians as needed. Monitors clinical performance and productivity of all unit clinicians, ensures that client care is carried out as defined in treatment plan. Works with Program Director to develop and oversee the development of treatment services within the unit that are clinically indicated and reimbursable by payors. Conducts chart reviews. Assist in planning and organizing in-service training. Attends assigned agency meetings/work groups and committees.

REQUIREMENTS
At least five years experience in adult mental health treatment services, as licensed clinician providing clinical treatment services in outpatient setting. Supervisory experience
Ability to provide case formulation and develop focused, goal oriented treatment plans, related to client’s treatment readiness or developmental level and problem identification. Experience in brief treatment of individual/group/family therapy. Familiarity/experience with managed care practices. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to form good working relationships; good understanding of psychotropic medications. Masters degree and License to practice psychotherapy in State of Connecticut.
