Charge Nurse, RN
Org Marketing Statement The Level II Charge Nurse functions under the UEXCEL Professional Practice Plan as a competent nurse who holds demonstrated abilities to provide beginning leadership for the continuity and operations of the clinical service to keep patients safe and maintain optimal care delivery. The Level II Charge Nurse uses competent Nursing Practice Competencies to advocate and intervene for optimal patient health outcomes, and exercises Leadership as a leader of the multidisciplinary team to guide the Care Team to deliver safe and AMAZing patient care. The Level II Charge Nurse exercises leadership as a part of the multidisciplinary team within five domains: Challenging the Process, Inspiring a Shared Vision, Enabling Others to Act, Modeling the Way, and Encouraging the Heart. The Level II Charge Nurse incorporates lifelong learning and practice competency as a part of his or her Professional Profile, and incorporates evidence-based practice and the UCH Quality model into Practice Outcomes.The Level II Charge Nurse provides competent leadership for staff at the point of patient care to assure safe and optimal patient and family outcomes. The role includes assuring the provision of adequate resources, the equitable distribution of work, including matching provider competency to patient needs, promoting functional communication patterns, solving problems effectively, and developing staff constructively.
Minimum Education: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado; Demonstrates ability to meet the position requirements
Required to credential to Level III within 2 years
Minimum Experience: One year experience in related clinical areas.
Testing Required.
Conditions of EmploymentAs an Employee you will need to be able to exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
