MRI / CT Radiological Technologist provides health care services, utilizing ionizing x- radiation and magnetic resonance energy to assist in diagnosis and/or treatment.

The technologist performs computerized axial tomography (CAT) and magnetic resonate imaging (MRI) procedures. These procedures and related techniques, produce images for the interpretation by/or at the request of the licensed healthcare provider.

He/she provides appropriate patient care, and assists the physician in performing invasive CT procedures.

REQUIREMENTS
Completion of technology training in AMA approved school and the American Registry of Radio logic Technologist.

Three years experience in CT/MRI.

Current ARRT license. Certification in CT/MRI preferred or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Current BLS certification.

Ability to communicate effectively with the patient and the health care team.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and health care team.

Vision sufficient to read medical records, instruments, documentation and visual changes in patient’s condition.

Hearing sufficient to interact with patients who may be unable to speak at normal voice level.

Mobility (including lifting, bending, stooping, reaching) and dexterity sufficient to assist patients and handle required instruments.
