APRN/PA - B7 ICU Surgical Critical Care

Hartford Hospital is an acute care hospital, located in the south end of Hartford Connecticut. The Hospital came into being in 1854 when a catastrophic explosion created the need to treat the many injured. In 1994, The Institute of Living, a psychiatric hospital founded in 1822, became the Mental Health Division of Hartford Hospital.

Hours: FT Flex Hours.Provide direct clinical management of the Surgical Critical Care patient population across the service continuum ( ICU, step-down ), in collaboration with the attending physician and other members of the HCT.As a teaching hospital, Hartford Hospital is a primary affiliate of the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and Dentistry for both graduate and undergraduate medical education.

Hartford Hospital, along with MidState Medical Center, is a wholly-owned acute care subsidiary of Hartford Health Care Corporation (HHCC).
REQUIREMENTS
APRN requires National certification in Advanced Practice, MSN and current CT APRN License or eligible. PA requires current CT PA License and Board certification or eligible.
Both disciplines surgical critical care experience preferred., ACLS certification, and the demonstrated ability to positively interact with medical nursing staff and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
