TITLE:Vocational Program Manager
REPORTS TO:Transitional Living Supervisor
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:THIS POSITION REQUIES THAT YOU ARE A LICENSED GA LPC OR LCSW. LAPC WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. LICENSE ELIGIBLE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
Qualifications: Previous experience in Vocational Management preferred. 3 - 5 years preferred.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:Able to communicate both verbally and in written word. Able to assess, develop career tracks, and teach transitional living skills. Coordinate program elements of counseling positive peer culture, group work, community based education and work experience. Able to interact with young adults in a supportive, solution focused manner. Promote and build positive self regard, social relationships and problem solving skills in individual and group dynamic situations.
ACCOUNTABILITY:Assure safe physical, emotional, and developmental program structure. Facilitate educational and vocational readiness for young adults.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assess all incoming young adults to assist them in determining a transitional living plan as a course of career and educational readiness.
Performance Standards
•Conduct vocational assessments to determine strengths and areas of needed improvement for young adults.
•Develop transitional living plan along with young adult and if applicable his/her associates/ support persons.
•Develop and mentor co-sponsor relationships to enhance vocational and educational opportunities for young adults.
• Complete “Commitment Contract” after 30 days of young adult admission. .
•
•Complete CAFAS at admission quarterly and at discharge.•Review assessments with young adults and Life Skills Counselors.

•Lead team of young adults and LSC in the completion of a vocational and educational readiness plan to be completed 30 days after program entry. Establishes an understanding of young adult plans and a rapport with them so as to influence solution-oriented, positive peer culture program elements.

•Supervise the orientation of young adults by LSC to ensure clarity and commitment to Commitment Contract.
•Complete as apart of initial and on going young adult assessments.
2. Provide leadership of implementing program elements, policies and procedures, and administrative supervision of LSC’s and evaluation processes supporting the mission of The BridgePerformance Standards
* Assure program development and progression to include but not limited to life skills classes, education, vocational and leisure planning.
* Provides supervision of the daily schedule.
* Assures the adherence of staff to agency policies and procedures and all relevant documentation.
* Conducts shift and weekly staff meetings with conjunction from Transitional Living Supervisor.
* Provides general leadership, program directives and financial management.
*Assign daily responsibilities to LSC’s to assure implementation of daily schedule and services.* Daily program is conducted by self and LSC’s in a timely and structured fashion.
* Scheduled programming is appropriately followed unless creating alternative activities are required. Approves all diversions from daily program schedule.
* Ensures LSC’s are in compliance with program and agency policies and procedures. Randomly reviews LCS’s progress notes and written communications for internal/external purposes.
* Ensures open communication between LSC’s, shifts, and young adults so that pertinent information prevails and ensures effective delivery of program elements.
* Remains aware and active in coordinating responsibilities of self and staff, the program purposes and budget control.
* Duties appropriately assigned according to skills and experience of LSC’s.
* Provide supervision and documentation of such a minimum of two times per month.
3. Organization, development and implementation of life skills. Educational and vocational readiness for internal and external resource utilization.Performance Standards
* Locate, develop, and implement real world life skill experiences for young adults in the program.
* Assess quality of life skills activity.
* Supervision rapport development between young adults and LSC’s surrounding life skill development.
* Supervise and coordinate LSC’s conducting, assessing competency of life skills classes.
* Develop and maintain co-sponsorships with businesses, corporations, educational institutions and vocationally related agencies.
* Coordinate vocational and educational opportunities for young adults.
* Participate in collaborative monthly meetings with MAAC, CCS, Inner Harbor and The Bridge to develop program elements, review young adult progress and discharge planning.* Identify and implement all life skill components of the program through self or designed LSC’s. Ensure community-based experiences.
* Conduct and/or review post-test materials to ensure competency or achievement by young adults. Observation of young adult, LSC’s interactions.
* Creates files and profiles of co-sponsors in terms of their relationship to the program i.e. name of entity, address, contact person, phone number and type of service relationship.
* Work closely with development staff to ensure continuity of The Bridge costumer relations messages. Personal, phone and written contact with co-sponsors on as needed basis.
* Conduct tours and explanation of services to guest, co-sponsors and others. Personal and phone contact with educational institutions, agencies.
* Write monthly and quarterly progress summaries. Send to appropriate entities.
*Regular attendance in collaborative meetings.
