Substance Abuse Treatment Coordinator

Bienvenidos Children's Center, Inc., (BCC) is a state licensed nonprofit community-based organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for vulnerable children and families by delivering services that are comprehensive, culturally responsive and effective models of prevention and intervention.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Project and the Project staff.

2. Supervise therapists and treatment counselors and administrative staff (including training, regular supervision activities, assignment of work and personnel evaluation).

3. Review reports and other program related documentation.

4. Participate in case conferences.

5. Work with staff on case problems and issues and review treatment methods.

6. Oversee treatment policies and procedures in order to comply with State Certification.

7. Collaborate with other internal programs, other professional staff and attend outside collaborative meetings.

8. Administer intakes and screenings, as workload permits.

9. Supervise research conducted on clients, when requested by funding source.

10. Participate in audits conducted by the County and other funding sources.

11. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s Degree in psychology, social work or related field, ENGLISH/SPANISH BILINGUAL ONLY. Minimum 2 years experience in general administration and supervision. Experience in providing direct drug and alcohol treatment, and administering County- and Federally-funded, substance abuse, recovery programs. Experience working in both mental health and substance abuse services is highly desirable. Strong communications skills- verbal and written.
