The Domestic Violence Center of Howard County is a non-profit agency offering innovative and comprehensive services to victims of domestic violence. The Administrative and Residential Departments invite applications for the following positions:
Finance ManagerThis is a full time position, 40 hours per week. The Domestic Violence Center offers competitive pay and a full benefits package, including health & dental insurance, paid vacation and sick leave, and a 401(k).Job Summary: Oversee and manage the finances and human resources of a medium-sized non-profit agency.Duties will fall under the following areas:Fiscal ManagementAccounts PayablePayroll/HRGeneral LedgerBudget AnalysisFiscal Grant ManagementAudits
Qualifications: The candidate will have a B.S. in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration with a minimum of 4 years experience (non-profit experience preferred.) Working experience and knowledge of QuickBooks Pro and Excel a must. The successful candidate will also have management experience, the ability to work under stress, and be a self-starter. A sense of humor is a must.

Residential ManagerSeeking a dynamic, creative individual with a positive outlook and a sense of humor for the position of Residential Manager of our twenty-nine bed shelter program. This is a full time position, 40 hours per week. The Domestic Violence Center offers competitive pay and a full benefits package, including health & dental insurance, paid vacation and sick leave, and a 401(k).Primary Responsibilities:Assist the Residential Director with all aspects of managing the Residential Program.Assist with statistics, inspection, and maintenance coordination for all houses.Supervise full-time staff.Serve on-call two nights per week.Coordinate pick-up and distribution of donations.Coordinate interns and volunteers.Some evening work hours required.
Qualifications: Superior written and verbal skills required along with computer proficiency. Must work well under pressure, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field required. The successful candidate will have knowledge of residential services and/or domestic violence.
