Peer Support Specialist

Coordinates, monitors, and provides direct services in a community setting for consumers. Works as a member of a clinical team to assess consumer's needs. Participates in the development of Service Plans, provides/coordinates services related to the Service Plan. Acts as a consumer advocate, coordinates services and discharges plans, and assists in crisis intervention. Works closely with the Administrator of the Clinic in order to establish, support and oversee the Consumer Clinic Council. Works closely with Administrator of the Clinic to establish consumer run self-help groups.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications:~~Must be receiving or have received public behavioral health services~~~~•Education: Bachelors Degree; Associates Degree; High School Diploma; or GED (Must have completed or be scheduled to complete the Peer education program at either Triple R or META).
• Licensures: Valid Arizona Driver's License• Relevant Work Experience:
Bachelors Degree in behavioral health or related field and no relevant experience
Bachelors Degree in a non-behavioral health field or related field requires one year work experience in the behavioral health field
Associates Degree requries two years experience in the behavioral health field
