MR Residential Coordinator

Don Guanella Village provides services to children and adults with Developmental Disabilities and Mental health needs as well as family supports and advocacy. Services include residential, day habilitation, therapeutic recreation such as art & music therapy, vocational assessment and training, and school and education services for children and young adults.

Function:
To function as as a coordinator and assist director with scheduling staff, hiring, facilitation of consumer services & requests on behalf of the clients for needed services and interventions.

Responsibilities:

Develop a positive atmosphere in residence among residence and staff.
Monitor the assessment of resident's individual strengths and weaknesses.
Be available for all planning meetings with Interdisciplinary Team.
Monitor and approve extra-curricular activities.
Develop and maintain a good rapport with the families and the residents.
Integrate recommendations from other professional directives and maintain open relationships with staff members.
Follow and maintain with supervisors and direct care workers all policies and procedures set by Don Guanella Village.
Treat all consumer's records and communications with confidentiality and respect.
Assist Director in Annual Staff Performance Evaluations.
Be Aware of Emergency Evacuation Procedures.
Perform other related responsibilities and duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
BA in human services related field. 3 years experience in MR Residential facility, ICF preferred. 2 years supervisory experience.
