OVERVIEW: The Membership Director is a senior staff position reporting to the CEO. This position manages the daily operations of the department; including membership standards program compliance, and membership statistics and services, which include fraternal function and performance. The director will oversee all activities associated with day-to-day member needs, as defined. The director also will work to educate, develop and grow the membership, while identifying opportunities to collaborate and partner with non-member organizations on issues of common interest.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
· Minimum of 5+ years professional experience in a trade association
setting.
· Supervisory experience preferred.
· Strong preference given to candidates with educational,
statistical-, actuarial-, or database-related experience.
· Possess solid verbal and written communications skills,
outstanding organizational skills, and strong service-oriented
people skills.
· Ability to make presentations to members, volunteers, community
organizations and public policymakers.
· Some travel required.
