DIRECTOR OF SOCIAL SERVICES

DESCRIPTION: United Home Care Services, Inc. United, a not-for-profit Home Care agency, a pioneer and leading agency in providing personalized quality care and in-home services is looking for qualified, Director of Social Services for our Doral office.

JOB SUMMARY: This position reports to the CEO. The Director is responsible for the development, contracting, planning, organizing and directing the agency’s case management and social services programs assigned to his/ her responsibility. Provides direction to the management in charge and ensure compliance, efficient and effective performance of programs. The Director is part of the Executive Management team responsible to elaborate the agency’s strategic direction and goals. Advises management and participates in staff training, development, performance quality improvement, and other agency’s programs and committees.

Some of the duties and responsibilities are:

1. Formulates new ideas, programs and approaches to increase effectiveness of client’s care outcomes. Directs and Coordinates grants applications.
2. Recommends and implements policies and procedures and compliance with the existent ones.
3. Directs the planning and organizing of social services activities.

4. Directs and coach managers and supervisors in charge of daily service operations.
5. Ensure contract compliance and performance according to established goals.
6. Responsible for Case Management, Community Based Services - Social Work, Nutrition and others – Solutions, Intake and Customer Services.
7. Ensures Development of Internal Procedures Manual, Supervisors' Manual, and other material necessary to the effective management of the operations.
8. Assists with performance quality improvement activities as related to social services department.
9. Responsible for outside contact with other social and community agencies and resources
10. Identifies training needs for department’s staff. Works in conjunction social work department management. Communicates possible training needs to Human Resources.
11. Perform other program duties as identified and assigned by the CEO.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:

o Master's degree in social work, public administration or a related field.

oMinimum of Five years work experience on the management of related functions specified on the job description.

o Experience in Health, Social and Geriatric Programs preferred

o Proficient on Computer operation and electronic data management

BILINGUAL (English & Spanish)Preferred
