A Resident Care Associate provides personal care, companion care, nursing assistance and other assigned tasks to elderly residents in the assisted living community. The duties of an RCA are varied but will include,Providing companion care which can include reading, visiting, answering personal correspondence, assisting with bill paying or other tasks as listed on the resident's plan of careProviding assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing/showering/toileting or dressingMay deliver meal trays from dining room or assist residents to the dining roomMay assist residents to medical appointments or other vital services
REQUIREMENTS
6 months experience in providing personal care in a residential or long term care setting preferred.Valid/current first aid certification.Proficient ability to communicate orally and in writing in the English language.Knowledge in performing personal care services in a residential environmentAbility to work effectively as part of a healthcare team and to share information freelyMust have a valid CA driver's license and a clean driving record
