Operations Manager

Its widely respected brands include ACNielsen, Nielsen Media Research, Billboard, Adweek, and The Hollywood Reporter, among many others.Manage and assist in the planning and execution of all assigned events
Develop and assist with the creation of the show design and floor plan layout
Develop and execute logistical plans
Manage the production of the exhibitor service kits and event-related forms
Manage all on-site operational aspects and maintain relationships with contractors, facilities, hotels and VNU Expositions personnel
Assist with developing, monitoring, maintaining and improving operations budgets - Zero-based budgeting
Develop, manage and execute sponsorship fulfillment
Process vendor invoices for payment
Perform site inspections
Assist in producing RFP's, reviewing proposals, negotiating and managing vendor contracts
Review and assist with the implementation of facility and hotel contracts
Monitor and maintain operational policies and procedures
Communicate and coordinate with other department relating to operations functions and procedures.
Develop and maintain relationships with exhibitors, customers, associations and partners for all assigned events
Manage monthly accruals
Maintain awareness of latest industry trends and apply to assigned events
Represent VNU Expositions at industry and community related functions
Other duties as assignedQualifications
Minimum 3 years direct exposition or conference management experience
Strong prioritizing organizational skills - ability to multi-task
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Professional demeanor
Computer literate: MS office - database knowledge a plus
Ability to walk the show floor unassisted for multiple days
Ability to travel - up to 35%
