Job Description:
The responsibilities of this position require the individual to be “the” digital image and print expert in a production center at a client firm. This professional is the to go-to resource for electronic image-to-print, hard copy-to-electronic image, client jobs. The specialist then does a technical, capacity, and workflow assessment of the client's desired output and determines what is needed to complete the job.

Responsibilities
•Actively manage responses to client Request for Proposals.
•Ability to create and manage project plans.
•Manage technical projects and actively install and implement when required.
•Coordinate the efforts of both Merrill site operations & off site services to ensure they work in concert towards a successful fulfillment implementation.
•Communicate with internal and external customers throughout the project lifecycle to ensure expectations are being met.
•Plan, develop, and motivate team members to effectively achieve objectives.
•Participate in the development of business cases and revenue propositions.
•Develop and maintain understanding of business priorities, technology direction and process requirements.
•Perform additional responsibilities as required.

REQUIREMENTS
Required Skills and experience:
•2-3 years experience in a production copy / repro shop environment required.
•1-2 years experience in a digital print on-demand environment is also required.
•Ability to assess, take ownership & control of digital print projects and drive them to completion.
•Experience with Fiery and or TR Systems print RIPs and workflow applications.
•Desktop publishing and digital print process experience is a must.
•Proven track record of creating & implementing digital imaging work & data flows.
•Technical familiarity with Printing, Scanning, Internet & Intranet issues & MS Office applications.
•Thorough understanding of client server network, TCP/IP printing to include the configuration of devices, creation of queue’s, and loading and upgrading of drivers.
•Full understanding of the print requirements surrounding the following file formats: PDF, TIFF, PST, PS, EPS
•Strong communication, personal interaction and customer service focused skills.
•Understanding of digital multi-function devices, high speed printers, high speed scanning
•Experience with the MS Office application suite, Adobe Acrobat (full), on a “Power User” level is a must.
•Color experience is also helpful but not necessary.
•Experience with the creation of database load files for scanned images is also a plus.

•AS in Computer Science or related degree
•MCP in Windows 2000 or XP workstation a plus
•CompTIA’s CDIA + certification is also a plus
