VON (Voice & Video on the Net) Magazine (http://www.vonmag.com) is a technology trade publication focused on VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol). In other words, dealing with the migration of phone calls and communications onto the Internet, (like Vonage). (Which means our advertisers are from both the computer and telecom industries) "IP Communications" is a $30 billion industry growing 30+% per year.
Founded 3 years ago, we first published bi-monthly. In 2005 we doubled our frequency to monthly. After twenty-six issues, we have over 56,000 subscribers in 160 countries and editors on 4 continents. We are incredibly well respected at the CxO level of industry. Our covers feature interviews with Fortune 500 CEOs, Chairman of the FCC and industry billionaires.
Our advertisers and prospects are some of the largest telecom and technology companies on the planet, (including: AT&T, Avaya, Covad, Global Crossing, Level 3, Intel, Microsoft, Polycom, Siemens) plus several hundred smaller companies you've never heard of. But that doesn't matter, because they all, already spend tens-of-thousands of dollars with us annually. You won’t be cold calling from some directory. Our advertisers are already our exhibitors. We know who they are and who makes the decisions. You will be closing our existing customers.
The position is located in your home office. VON Magazine is a virtual company, with its HQ in Tucson, back office on Long Island, writers and editors in 6 countries with EiC in NJ, Traffic in NYC, Design and Layout in SFO and printing in Quebec. We move fast and have fun! (What we don’t have, are a lot of staff meetings, forms, and water-coolers.) You will report to our Director of WW Advertising Sales. You will travel 2-3X per year to our trade shows.
Comp Plan: Good Base, Superb Commission and Bonus. You will earn the kind of money you want.... Close for us and the sky's the limit.

Minimum 4 years magazine advertising sales experience.
