Strategic Marketing Manager, Oncology
Business Unit: GE HealthcareFunction: MarketingResponsibilities: Support the development and execution of the GEHC Oncology strategy and priorities. Individual will take project leadership for specific cross-business oncology projects, and contribute to the team for other projects. The projects usually reach across and impact several of the GEHC P&L's, and have significant medium and long term impact on GEHC's oncology business, which is estimated to be worth >$3bn. Success will be recognizable through both progress on individual projects, and through changes in the shape of the GEHC oncology business: more robust, and more focused on the needs of referring physicians.
Project leadership: Create and drive specific projects within the overall oncology strategy:
oDevelopment of marketing plans for specific new growth opportunities
oIn cooperation with relevant specialists within marketing, organize and manage advisory boards, market research, health economic and reimbursement studies.
Become a recognized figure within the oncology community for one or more cancers.
oLeverage relationships both at peer and at management levels across the business to capitalize on solutions and offerings for customer market segments related to oncology
oFoster and support new business opportunities with marketing materials, and coordination of cross-modality presentations
oCoordinate internal reviews, priority calls and delivery timelines in cross-business teams.
oTogether with business analysis, develop high quality forecasts and project evaluations.
Participate in the development and subsequent implementation of the overall GEHC oncology strategy. Become an established cross-business team member and leader within the modalities and P/Ls, in particular within DI, driving marketing excellence into growth initiatives. Develop support materials for communication of the strategy.
Manage relationships with key patient advocacy and research organizations.
Support PR and educational activities in oncology~HJ~
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: *Bachelor's degree in Business or Technical discipline or 10+ years of Marketing experience
7+ years of Marketing or New Product Development experience
Broad market understanding, customer awareness, and/or commercial experience in medical technology or oncology
Willingness to work out of Waukesha, Wisconsin and travel, sometimes internationally, as requiredDesired: *Ability to grasp new concepts and information quickly.
Ability to establish & manage project plans efficiently and effectively, showing flexibility in adjusting to changing circumstances
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with internal and external customers, and to influence without having direct line authority.
Ability to motivate and work effectively with cross-business team members.
Informs, involves, and influences stakeholders to gain buy-in & commitment
Strong presentation skills for a variety of audiences
