REGIONAL MARKETING DIRECTOR

The Westfield Group (ASX Code: WDC) is an internally managed, vertically integrated, shopping center group undertaking ownership, development, design, construction, funds/asset management, property management, leasing and marketing activities. Westfield has more than 43 years of experience in the shopping center business and employs in excess of 4,000 staff worldwide.1.Leads each Marketing Director in their region to achieve the following:•Develop annual marketing plan and budget, incorporating innovative and well-defined strategies/tactics to achieve stated objectives. Monitor the overall plan implementation and offer support in maintaining exceptional standards of all tactics of the Marketing Plan. •Review and offer input on forecasted budgets on a monthly basis, including the analysis of retailer revenue and actual/projected expenses. •Plan and implement corporate and regional programs/promotions
•Develop and implement effective retailer communications
•Monitor and respond appropriately to government/civil activity.
•Monitor each Shoppingtownâ??s web page on a regular basis2.Lead the overall implementation of Westfield WOW•Continually monitor overall performance of Shoppingtown teams
•Constantly strive to improve and build upon the overall implementation of the initiative via people, training, tools and marketing/communication.
•Offer ongoing support in dealing with recruiting, HR, personnel issues
•Review Instant Rewards/GAP Busters reports; Recognize excellent achievements; offer guidance/direction for making improvements
•Regularly review results from all measurement devises (WOW Dashboard, comment cards, retailer interaction/feedback exercises,) offering input to Shoppingtown teams in making adjustments appropriately. Communicate concise summaries to VPs of Marketing, Management
•Work with contractor counterparts to ensure active participation
•Oversee regional public relations strategic plan to support WOW messaging in trade area3.Lead team in driving income to positively impact the Shoppingtownsâ?? net operating income.
•Offer guidance and support in achieving team Partners in Performance goals.
•Facilitate ongoing and productive communication between specialty leasing and marketing departments. Share best practices.4.Other areas of responsibility include:•Ability to understand and communicate sales, retailer revenue, kick-outs and percentage rent. Review and analyze Shoppingtown sales performance. Possess market knowledge and familiarity with key trends. Take an active role in monthly Sales and Marketing Redbook meeting.•Monitor overall Gift Card program within region with special focus on driving sales, program operations and relationship building with key partners.
•Form a â??teamâ?ť relationship with RVP Management.
•Work with General Managers to ensure Marketing Directors maintain a thorough understanding of overall Shoppingtown business.
•Spearhead special projects when needed.
•Maintain on-going communication with VP Government Affairs, VP Communications, VP Specialty Leasing and Regional VP Leasing.
•Review and approve all applicable reports prior to submitting to corporate.
•Identify candidates for potential advancement; develop and implement career growth plans.
•Streamline work process of Shoppingtown Marketing teams by working to facilitate combining efforts whenever possible
•Take an active role in corporate advertising campaign. Oversee print and broadcast production, where appropriate
•Work with other RMDs to streamline work for regions
•Mentor and help to professionally develop SC, SSC and Marketing Directors
•Work with Regional VP in the interviewing and hiring of new employees. Job Requirements
