For more information about Crossroads Systems, please visit www.crossroads.com or call 1-866-BUY-CRDS (1-866-643-7148).Crossroads Systems has an opening for a Product Marketing Manager for our Business Information Assurance solutions – specifically in the areas of storage connectivity (e.g. storage routers, controller, bridges and other connectivity devices) and enterprise data resiliency (e.g. business continuity, disaster recovery, archival and replication). This person will define market opportunities for sales, go-to-market strategies and existing product enhancements. As part of the overall marketing plan developed for each product, the Product Marketing Manager will identify appropriate target markets, develop effective campaign strategies and track market trends to measure product line growth and opportunities. Other essential functions include:Responsibilities:
•Create a complete marketing plan.
•Perform market analysis to identify new product and business opportunities.•Perform customer analysis to identify needs and problems to be solved.•Represent marketing on cross-functional Corporate Communications, Strategic Alliances, Product Management and Sales Core Teams.•Guide the communication and development of our products.•Create extensive product collaterals including: business powerpoint presentation, demos, website pages, FAQs, brochures, business case, application notes, success story, white papers, cheatsheets, product summaries and demo scripts.
•Deploy extensive saleskits and partnerkits.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Computer Sciences preferred; Business degree acceptable. MBA preferred.7+ years Product Marketing experience with data storage, back-up, disaster recovery, business continuity planning, data security or networking hardware and/or software required.Project Management skills (Knowledge of MS-Project) and capability to multi-task or work in parallel mode on several projects.
Knowledge and experience in data connectivity, disaster recovery, data replication and business continuity is highly recommended.
Knowledge of data storage products is highly preferred.Knowledge and experience in data encryption products is also preferred.Strong knowledge of product lifecycle marketing cycles from product management through end-of-life.Ability to communicate effectively with OEMs, VARs, SIs, consulting firms, Distributors and end user customers, as well as with Product Marketing Managers, Sales, Support, Business Development, Strategic Alliances and Operations personnel.Track record at creating an extensive amount of marketing collaterals.10%-30% travel is required.Crossroads Systems, an EOE, offers competitive salaries and comprehensive benefits, including Major Medical/Life Insurance, Vision/Dental, 401k, Stock Options, in an environment that supports creativity, open communication and team involvement.
