Product Manager - Outside Dallas

My client is a Fortune 100 manufacturer of durable consumer goods that's seeking qualified applicants for the position of Product Manager. As Product Manager you'll coordinate with Sales, Operations, Product Development, and directly with key accounts to develop and implement product line strategies which 1) meet client's consumer and customer needs and 2) generate profitable growth for client. These product line strategies should be consistent with the overall company goals/direction. Ideal candidates will have experience with product line extensions and dealer marketing.

Responsibilities:

Product Development -Partner with Sales and key customers to develop products and programs to effectively grow the client's business.
Take new product from design phase to the marketplace through a detailed and rigorous product development process. This includes working with engineering, operations, finance, and sales on all aspects of product development.
Develop key consumer insight in order to maximize productivity of products and design.
Manage communication flow for most aspects of product development to ensure effective forecasting, inventory control, distribution, logistics.
Develop and manage product line budgets and sales/profit goals.
Execute effective strategies to maximize the success of product launches.
Develop and present new and innovative packaging strategies and merchandising innovation.
Collect and manage marketing data to assist in developing future product strategies, evaluate current product performance, increase market share and penetration, and understand the competition’s strengths and weaknesses:
Competitive Analysis
pricing, product lines, promotional plans
Market Research
focus groups, syndicated data, and industry trends
Product Line Analysis
sales history, profitability analysis, and consumer satisfaction -Utilize market data to assist and provide direction to product Development (e.g., focus groups, priority setting) -Prepare and present marketing presentations internally, to dealers, and at industry meetings.
REQUIREMENTS
Background Requirements:

Bachelor Degree
Eight Years Product Management in durable consumer goods.
