Product Manager-Kitchen & Bath

POSTION OVERVIEW:

Under limited supervision, the Product Manager is responsible for executing tactics and strategic marketing activities. This would involve developing information and statistics and maintaining on-going files necessary to develop forecasts, recommendations on pricing, marketing strategies, new products, strategic plans, and any other special projects dealing with the product area. Responsible for the development and implementation of enduring objectives related to product line development with management objectives, both long- and short-term, and developing strategies necessary to achieve objectives over specific time spans. Has primary responsibility for a single large or a few aligned/related product lines and is responsible for complete management of the assigned products from creation of new products through their removal from the product line. Typically has 1-3 direct reports. Has P&L responsibility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Develop and drive initial strategic marketing activities.
•Seen as expert within the department.
•Assist in developing business objectives.
•Key player in the planning processes for product line.
•Formulate and communicate action plan for carrying out business objectives.
•Train and leverage support of staff on all marketing matters.
•Serve as a resource for staff on comprehensive and detailed assignments.
REQUIREMENTS
•MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN ONE OF THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES: BATHROOM FURNITURE OR TOILET SEATS
•Requires a Bachelors degree in marketing or related field. MBA/MS preferred.
•4-6 years of prior experience in sales, marketing, channel management, and/or product development with progressively more responsibility and a track record of results is required.
•At least 1-year experience with P&L and/or budgeting is required and previous supervisory or coaching experience preferred.
•Must possess a keen analytical mind, be strong on planning, detail, and accuracy, and be a demonstrably creative thinker.
•Must possess substantial skills in written and oral communication with all levels of management and with outside contacts.
