Online Project Manager

Looking for a Strong Project Manager, Familiar with Websites & Exceptional Communication Skills

We have a great contract position beginning in September (though at least December) for an online project manager. While you need to be familiar with the website production process and tools, the client is most interested in a candidate with strong project management skills, a proactive personality and ability to hit the ground running! Project Management experience, especially in regards to working with the web and web based projects is more important then having actual producer experience.

You will be working with a variety of people associated with this large retail site, namely business partners, designers and the marketing department. And of course, personality is king. The work is fast paced and you are going to be managing a new team, helping them prioritize, coming up with the timelines for projects, and coordinating the receipt of assets.

This position is the glue that holds together different departments. If you have demonstrated experience acting as a liaison, receiving requests, gathering resources, building schedules and communicating status to the team, keep reading!



Selected Duties:

Planning, scheduling, and trafficking projects. Gathering information from business partners, marketing and other sources.

Determine capacity for the team, prioritize projects, and assign duties.

Participate in kick off meetings and start the creative aspect of projects; manage communication and act as a liaison between team, business partners and marketing.

Coordinate reviews and deliverables (content for the site).


Qualifications (required):

3-5 years professional web site traffic/coordination/project management experience.

Familiarity and understanding of web site production, tools, browsers, working with content.
Demonstrated experience planning, scheduling, trafficking, and working as an online project manager.

Experience with web sites is required.


Additional Qualifications Needed:

Professional communication and presence.

Superior organizational abilities.

A sense of urgency/initiative and the competency and confidence to jump right in.

Candidates should be able to explain their process for planning/scheduling/trafficking web site projects, and have experience delegating and supervising the work of others to ensure deadlines are met.
