Function: MarketingPay Type: ExemptPosition Number: 10406316 Mgr Associate ProductEmployee Type: Full Time Shift 1Job Description: JOB TITLE: Associate Product Manager,,Job CODE: MS0049 Department: Case Ready Meats Marketing,,Location: Corporate SUMMARY: This position is responsible for assisting the Product Manager in achieving volume and profit objectives for a specific product through accurate planning and implementation of marketing plans, advertising, customer and distributor promotions, and successful introduction of new products and line extensions. This requires developing accurate volume forecasts/projections and recommending actions to counteract seasonal volume shortfalls, managing the budgets of each assigned brand, and managing all packaging and finished goods inventories with emphasis on preventing product shortages without holding excess inventory. Other responsibilities include coordinating the strategy and marketing plan of respective product lines including idea generation, concept testing, and product launch, overseeing new product development for assigned product brands, and preparing spending and profit reviews, comparing Profit & Loss statements to previous year, and noting key variances and offering solutions. Other duties include assisting in the development of new packaging while identifying possible cost savings and improvements, analyzing market research on assigned brands and monitoring competitive brand(s), and performing other responsibilities as the need arises. Education: Business/marketing background, 4 year degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience; M.B.A. desirableExperience: 3+ years of experience.Computer Skills: Must be computer literate, especially in Microsoft Office suite.
