This individual will lead an 8-10 member team of associates providing service and marketing support primarily to financial advisers and American Funds Wholesalers across the United States. Experience in managing employee performance is a requirement. We're seeking individuals who have demonstrated an exceptional ability to assess performance, provide feedback effectively, and coach and develop team members to deliver best business results.

In addition, you'll be a technical resource to your team, to peers and to other business groups by answering questions, sharing opinions and perspectives, suggesting new and creative ideas, and participating on projects.The ideal Team Manager:
Manages the performance and continual development of each team member.
Creates an environment for two-way dialogue, encouraging open communication and proactively soliciting feedback and differing viewpoints from others.
Builds and supports teamwork throughout the business group.
Cultivates a deep understanding of all aspects of our business, customer requirements and service expectations. We provide in-depth training regarding the financial services industry and our business.
Demonstrates an exceptional standard of quality, both in their own performance and that of their team. In our environment, this involves attention to detail, thoughtful analysis and problem-solving, and accountability for excellent results.Qualifications

We require a minimum of two years of related experience in managing others.
You should also have PC experience in a Windows environment.
A Bachelor's degree is a plus.
