Marketing & Event Coordinator

Jones & Stokes is a multidisciplinary, employee-owned consulting firm headquartered in Sacramento, California. With 19 offices in eight states, the firm provides a wide range of natural resource management and planning services to public agency and private clients throughout the nation.

We are seeking an individual to work in our marketing and corporate communications department. Responsibilities include: coordinating events and conferences plus small-to-medium writing/editing assignments for our internal and external internet sites, as well as supporting the marketing team on special projects. Tasks include event scheduling, coordinating handouts, registrations, signage, follow-up messaging, e-blast campaigns, etc. Will assist with ordering of specialty items and preparation of conferences booths for shipping. Processes and distributes company store orders. Provides general administrative assistance to all marketing team members to include advertising billing, scheduling, GSA marketing, etc. Also assists with marketing support in other areas as needed, such as HR and Environmental Education for word processing, publication reproduction, event coordination and follow-up messaging, etc., as directed by the Marketing Manager. Contributes in team planning sessions.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree or higher AND at least 5 years experience or greater in the marketing field preferably in business-to-business marketing. Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills a must with some copy writing. Some basic writing and design experience. Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and some Access. Event coordination and/or A&E industry experience is a plus.
