POSITION SUMMARY:
Proactively identifies and recommends initiatives aligned with overall brand objectives and strategies. Leads cross-functional teams including R&D, sales, packaging design, supply chain, manufacturing, finance, creative agencies and outside vendors in delivering these initiatives (e.g. line extensions, new distribution, marketing programs, etc.). Responsible for marketing, strategic (channel) pack development and promotional plan development and execution. Responsible for managing marketing budget, forecasting volume and tracking key competitive activity. Utilizes ACNielsen and other secondary data to provide analysis with conclusions and recommendations related to consumption trends. This position requires a strong independent thinker, with good analytical and organizational skills, and a bias towards making things happen. Person will be responsible for managing key marketing mix elements and have total project ownership.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
~ Takes a leadership role on projects with cross-functional teams involving Promotions, Sales, Supply Chain, R&D, Packaging, and Manufacturing.
~ Develop and execute yearly marketing plans including volume forecasting, packaging upgrades, advertising, promotions, sales support materials, and new product activity where applicable.
~ Tracks volume and profit performance, including management summary, sales and share, consumer affairs contacts, and updates for brand status reports. Manages brand budgets.
~ Responsible for ongoing communication of brand objectives, strategies and tactics to Customer Development Team.
~ Analyze promotional and pricing activities as preparatory analysis for planning process. Track competitive activity, promotions and pricing.
~ Responsible for monthly volume forecasting by SKU with customer marketing, production planning, sales and manufacturing.
REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL AND EXPERIENCE:
~ BS/BA in Business and 2-3 years of related work experience. MBA preferred.
~ Consumer packaged goods experience desired.

Candidate must possess a strong drive for results including strong leadership, decision making and analytical skills, effective communication skills, ability to think strategically, self-motivation, and a passion for the consumer and marketing.
