Summary of Major Functions:
The Proposal Writer is responsible for the development of proposals required to respond to request for proposals for behavioral health and EAP products.Duties and Responsibilities:Produce clear, persuasive, top-level, winning proposals that present Horizon Health’s EAP and behavioral health products as the best in the industryAnalyze and interpret RFPs, RFIs and other response documentsWork with multi-departmental staff to determine proposal strategy and directionProposal content, theme, and style of proposals will be template driven and will require periodic updating based on marketplace requirementsConfirm that proposals meet client requirements set forth in RFPsDevelop and maintain a strong knowledge of Horizon Health’s EAP and managed care programs, policies, and procedures
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications:A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or Behavioral HealthExcellent writing and editing skillsAbility to comprehend, compile and interpret behavioral health languageStrong organizational, scheduling, leadership and teamwork skillsGood oral and written communication skillsAdminister database containing standard questuion-responses for proposal department
