In Store Marketing Supervisor

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Hire, train, motivate, and supervise In-Store Marketers. Plan program to maximum productivity and insure quality leads are set, productivity goals are met and strong quality and customer service practices are upheld.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The incumbent maintains direct responsibility for:

?Implement and manage departmental plans to meet department goals, which have been established
?Must be able to travel.
?Develop organizational procedures and direct all administrative functions.
?Hire, train, motivate, counsel and evaluate In-Store promoters.
?Responsible for new hire paperwork and productivity paperwork
?Work with Sears store managers to promote Sears Home Improvement Products in retail stores.
?Monitor productivity standards and confirmation quotas for the department and by individual promoters.
?Evaluate and present In-Store Marketing 90 day/annual performance appraisals.
?Mystery shop promoters
?One-on-one communication with promoters
?Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
POSITION DIMENSIONS: (Budgeted numbers change yearly)
•Responsible for maintaining 32% productivity, 40.% confirmation, .125 CLPH rate in their region;
•Responsible for net revenue goal for 2005 of $725964 - $1453757
•Responsible for staffing hours (range of 180-220 hours/week based on market);
•Responsible for maintaining ad ratio of 17-23% or less with expense plan of approximately $174,720 - $242,200 ($174,720 average).
•Responsible for 80% stores staffed consistently

DESIREABLE FUNCTIONS:
•Promote unity and teamwork within department by personal example and appropriate handling of differences within department or team members.
•Should have desire and show initiative for upward mobility.
•Ability to work under pressure.
•Ability to effectively manage time and handle multiple tasks.
•Must be flexible to adjust work schedule to meet needs of department.
•Must maintain positive mental attitude at all times and handle each customer (internal and external) in a polite, professional manner.
?Calculate promoter’s bonus and provide to In-Store Manager for approval.
?Review marketing reports to insure that all leads have been received and entered by Appointment Center.
?Promote in Sears store to generate leads to meet department quota.
?Implement motivational and incentive plans to keep productivity high and turnover low
?Maintain phone dialogue with the APC through direct contact or conference calls a minimum of on a quarterly basis.





COMPETENCIES (SKILLS) REQUIRED:
Internet access and knowledge required.
Must have the ability to establish priorities and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Must be available to travel to Sears stores in specified territory.
Must have valid driver’s license.
Flexibility is essential due to various responsibilities of position.

KNOWLEDGE AND PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High School Education or equivalent required, college degree preferred. Desired at least two (2) years supervisory experience.
