Global/International Market Analyst

A world leader in offering fully integrated EPC services is expanding their technical Marketing team in their Houston headquarters location. Customers, in a number of key industries, include oil & gas, petrochemical & chemical, power, water and wastewater. Projects include LNG terminals, bulk liquid terminals, hydrocarbon processing plants, offshore structures, and water storage & treatment facilities. The newly created position as Market Analyst will report to the Director of Global Marketing and will be a key member of the marketing team focused on driving global market and product strategy. Interface will be with leaders of product development and commercial business and external customers. Frequent contact with the executive team will be necessary. Duel responsibilities include conducting primary and secondary market research, and the implementation and translation of this research into solid, strategic market plans. Areas of analysis will include improvements to the existing product lines, new & emerging markets and products, geographic strategies, customer, business and market strategy and acquisition strategy.

REQUIREMENTS
A BS Degree is required and 7 years experience in market research, strategic planning, business planning or new product development is needed. An MBA would be a big plus. Experience in the Oil & Gas and/or Petrochemical & Chemical industries, either as a supplier or in a major producer is expected. Exposure to sales, sales management and project management is preferred. Proven analytical & strategic data interpretation skills are necessary and excellent written & oral communication skills are required. Strong decision-making skills, leadership ability and the ability to influence peers and superiors is expected. Excellent computer skills are a must. The successful candidate should be a strategic thinker who is proficient in presenting their analyses to top-level management. International travel will be necessary.
