Director, IP Core and Edge Marketing

Juniper is seeking for an experienced, highly motivated person to lead Solutions Marketing for IP innovation - solutions marketing of Juniper's core and edge IP product portfolio. The role is to drive marketing programs for IP networking products targeted at carriers and service providers.

Specific responsibilities include:

- Building strategic working relationships with sales and product management teams and participating in internal product programs for IP innovations and industry leadership initiatives.
- Development of clear and concise positioning and value propositions
- Planning and execution of solution launches in conjunction with Public Relations and Marketing Programs teams.
- Delivery of content in support of product launches such as Product Announcements, comprehensive technical presentations, detailed Application Briefs, business cases, white papers, and Competitive Briefs.
- Tracking and understanding competitive strategies and tactics
- Tracking and understanding relevant industry standards
REQUIREMENTS
Technical aptitude in the following categories is essential:
- IP routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, IS-IS
- Layer 2 protocols and data encapsulations including ATM, frame relay, Ethernet bridging and spanning tree as well as virtual LANs (802.1q)
- Additional IP protocols and service enabling technologies such as MPLS, L2TP, packet filtering and QoS.

Candidates will be expected to intimately understand service provider market and competitive trends, have knowledge of mainstream market analysts and be familiar with organizations that drive industry standards such as the IETF, OIF, Metro Ethernet Forum etc.

Excellent written and oral communication skills are a requirement to prepare and present customer and field presentations and participate in industry forums and seminars. Candidates must be proficient with mainstream business software such as PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
