Director Co-Brand Marketing
The Director of Co-Brand Marketing is responsible for the development and implementation of marketing programs involving originations, portfolio management and conversion/product development for multiple co-brand partnerships. Identifies and develops marketing strategies and plans to drive co-brand card customer response, activation, usage, utilization, retention and profitability based on proven credit card strategies, test vs. control results and P&L driver. Provide forecasts for program performance. Manage the development and implementation of marketing plans, strategies, and programs. These include forecasting portfolio performance and growth, activation, utilization and retention and meeting those forecasts. Ensure that marketing plans are implemented with quality.
Develop and manage marketing budgets and co-brand programs. Ensure co-brand programs are executed efficiently to stay within budget. Participate with members of risk management and marketing to assess strategic business opportunities and develop recommendations to meet business objectives. As appropriate, develops and maintains a good relationship with merchant and provides information about credit card marketing best practices as requested. As needed sources and manages outside vendors or internal departments to provide cost-effective, high-quality program execution, enhancement, and third party marketing programs. Completes contracts, negotiates pricing and manages relationships. Ensure that all marketing programs present consistent brand images for HSBC and the merchants.
Responsible for budgeting, staffing plans, and the selection and development of personnel for all acquisition, portfolio management, and product development activities within portfolio. Establish and monitor objectives and performance through formalized goal setting, project planning and performance management process. Administer human resources policy as appropriate. Ensure compliance monitoring is in place, including processes for management of operational risk, in accordance with Company and regulatory standards. Provide management direction to foster effective selection, development and reward of subordinates while contributing to initiatives in support of the Company’s Diversity programs. Complete other related duties as assigned.

job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, Master’s degree preferred
Ten years direct marketing project management experience, specific Co-Brand experience preferred
Extensive experience with Forecasting and Management of programs/activities which impact various P&L drivers
Significant experience managing large projects
Comprehensive understanding of card technical platforms and business workflow
Strong analytical skills and experience dealing with development and execution of analytically derived/quantitative strategies
Proficient in problem solving with proven ability to anticipate issues or potential impacts before they happen
Proven ability to effectively interact with across business units and with merchants
Strong facilitation, presentation, and written and oral communication skills HSBC Compensation
