SUMMARY OF ROLE – Director of Marketing, Marketing Services Group

Responsible for developing and executing programs that drive incremental whitening procedures, as well as meet/exceed profitability targets for MSG product portfolio.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Define and execute strategies for a portfolio of products/programs.
• Work with Whitening SBU Team on new product/program development, existing products/programs and new product/program launches...that drive incremetental kit sales.
• Manage annual SBU forecasts, budgets and inventory levels. With approval, make adjustments as necessary.
• Create concepts and execute plans for advertising, direct mail campaigns and patient literature. Oversee tracking and analysis of response rates.
• Source componentry for new and changes to existing brand products/programs and coordinate first buys with Purchasing. Write specifications for same.
• Oversee creation and revision of brand Bills of Materials. Approve as necessary.
• Create packaging masters and set quality standards for all brand finished goods and associated componentry.
• Review and work with Westside Packaging to lower overall cost of goods for brand.
• Determine need, create basis for and coordinate market studies, focus groups, competitive price and costs analyses.
• Review competitive products and market status for trends and opportunities; make recommendations to increase brand profitability.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises 1 employee. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Fifth year college or university program certificate and 8+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Marketing degree or comparable experience in marketing or advertising. Cosmetic/dental experience a plus.


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Travel is required less than 1/3 of work year.
