Client Marketing Manager

Rainmaker Systems is a leading outsource provider of sales and marketing services for companies that want to drive more sales. Rainmaker offers a closed-loop sales process and a comprehensive suite of services that ensures companies are both filling their sales pipelines with quality leads and closing them efficiently and cost effectively. Core services include telesales, integrated direct marketing and hosted e-commerce. Additional offerings include a proprietary database, customer database enhancement services, CRM technology integration and order management.

Rainmaker helps over 50 companies ranging from Fortune 500 to dynamic technology start-ups, grow their revenues and increase customer loyalty by providing lead generation and contract renewal sales solutions.

Summary
Plans, directs and implements a wide variety of direct marketing programs to support client objectives and revenue plan. Channels will include direct mail, e-mail, web, and voice messaging. Will be instrumental in implementing marketing strategies for accelerating growth opportunities for new and existing client businesses.

Primary Responsibilities
•Determine key marketing opportunities and implement marketing strategies per specific clients; develop the tactical design and implement integrated end to end marketing strategies for client divisions leveraging direct marketing and telesales methodologies.
•Perform marketing program revenue forecasting; forecast expenses in coordination of budget and planning activities.
•Manage list segmentation, data processing and marketing list criteria development processes; perform data analysis and optimization of client programs.
•Participate in product and service definition, offer development, positioning, and branding strategies by client.
•Develop collateral by mediums of direct mail, e-mail, and online; manages outside creative personnel of creative development.
•Perform marketing research on client drivers and products; develops the necessary technical expertise and positioning expertise for client products marketed and sold by Rainmaker.
•Create Marketing Program and Creative Briefs to support the marketing strategies for client divisions.
•Work with sales managers to tightly integrate marketing programs with outbound telesales activities.
•Manage the reporting of marketing program effectiveness and return on investment by client; facilitate learning from programs and institute process improvements.
•Ability to work cross-functionally with internal departments in support of ongoing marketing program management; drive project teams to achieve goals, and acts as an evangelist in resolving conflict and promoting team building.
•Performs daily account management and interfaces with client; acts as inside sales liaison.
•Ensure that all work created meets Rainmaker’s requirements for creative excellence, customer and product relevance, technical accuracy, and integrity to Rainmaker methodologies.

Qualifications
•Experience in conceptualizing and executing successful marketing programs; strong analytical skills, creative thinking in identifying options and providing sound analysis in selecting an approach.
•Ability to plan, organize, and establish priorities.
•Effective communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work with a wide range of professionals and effectively lead and inspire to achieve group goals.
•Strong computer skills. Experience with Excel, Quark, and Photoshop. Knowledge of reporting tools (Brio) preferred.

Education and Experience
Requires a BS/BA degree in Marketing or Communications, or equivalent experience; a minimum of 7-10 years of direct marketing experience, preferably in software, high-tech, and services.
