Welder-Fitter

Purpose: Our client, a large manufacturing company in Elk Grove, is currently looking for skilled candidates to fill the position of Welder-Fitter.

In this position, individuals will be responsible for coordinating welding activities involved in the day to day operation of the Weld Shop. Candidates may be required to weld components in vertical, horizontal, or overhead positions using TIG, Stick, MIG or other welding equipment as provided.

In order to be qualified for this position, candidates should have at least two years of welding experience. Applicants should have worked with plasma torches, grinding wheels, and portable grinders. Qualified applicants will also be comfortable laying out parts according to specifications using tools such as straight-edges, combination squares, rulers, and calipers.

This is a full-time, contract-to-hire position with the opportunity for overtime. The shift currently available is the night shift (3PM-12AM), and starting pay is $18.00/hr. Because of the urgent need to fill this position, applicants should be available to interview and start immediately.
