JOB SUMMARY:

Set up and operates Omax Waterjet machine. Must be familiar with Omax controls.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Perform duties in a safe and effective manner. Monitors work to ensure that parts are being produced to SFI manufacturing and Quality standards.Perform set-up in support of producing SFI products. Perform first piece verification and all pertinent inspection of the first piece prior to producing a lot using measuring instruments to obtain the necessary requirements and specifications per engineering drawings as well as work order instructions and programs as required to produce quality parts. Perform full duties and responsibilities with little or no supervision.. may be required to perform various phases of deburring operations.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Must maintain a clean and efficient work station while maintaining safety standards and production efficiency levels. Keep machine tools clean and in good working order. May be instructed to assist other team members when instructed to do so.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / REQUIREMENTS

? Fabricating SFI parts. Plans the set up and operation of all types of materials, considering tolerances & quality of cuts. Load Garnet into hopper and change mixing tubes, orifices & nozzle guards when necessary.

? Requires good shop mathematic skills including trigonometric and geometric tolerancing, reading and interpretation of blueprints. Must be able to use precision measuring and gaging instruments while performing required inspection on parts being machined or fabricated.

? High awareness of attention and care for safety required to prevent injury to self and others when operating machines, hand and power tools.
?*Minimum 2 years relative work experience. Must have own tools.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Standing up to75% of the time, as well as some bending; pushing/pulling; crawling, kneeling and some lifting of 55+ lbs. with assistance if needed. A hoist with suction cups is used for the loading of most of the sheet metal onto Waterjet bed.
