VP Worldwide Manufacturing / Operations

This position provides senior leadership for the National and International manufacturing facilities. Specifically, this position leads the Manufacturing & Operations. Directs and coordinates overall activities of the manufacturing and operations business units and aids the President/CEO in formulating and administering company policies and developing long range strategic goals and objectives. Emphasis on manufacturing footprint optimization and driving best cost strategy throughout the corporate enterprise. Areas of responsibility include all quality, delivery, cost and safety initiatives as well as Operations/Plant P&L and asset management. Developing and executing the global operations strategy and driving the adoption of operational excellence across all facilities. (Encompasses existing operations and exploring changes in manufacturing footprint)
REQUIREMENTS
Responsibilities:

Build the operations strategic plan and priorities. Lead team through executions of strategic initiatives required to attain best cost position in the industry.
•Define optimized footprint and facility layout
•Standardize operations
•Define and implement operational excellence initiatives to reduce cost,
•Minimize waste, attain quality specifications and service customers
•Influence and manage the buy-in of internal customers (executives & stakeholders)

Develop plan to manage operations and the planning process.
•Oversee strategic and tactical logistics
•Manage inventory requirement models while working with distribution and sales
•Ensure the product is planned and procured in an efficient and timely manner
•Assets are optimized

Work with existing functional leaders to leverage operational capabilities/distinct competencies.

Perform analyses required to maximize profitability and support key business decisions.

Actively lead manufacturing facilities.

Lead strategic direction for the business unit’s process improvements and
standardized work processes.

Monitor and evaluate competitive products and operations to ensure costs/quality meet or exceed competitors.

Manages and translates overall business strategies into manufacturing and operations strategies.

Qualifications:

Ideal candidate will preferably hold a masters and a bachelor degree with emphasis in management and operations.


Experience:

A minimum of 10 years managerial experience in the manufacturing environment; and, educated in all facets of manufacturing techniques. The ideal candidate will have 3+ Years experience working with international make v. buy operation models, including sourcing from off shore vendors. Experience in managing multiple domestic and international facilities is essential.
