Quality Inspector

Large plastic injection-molding plant has immediate need for 6 highly qualified Quality Inspectors of Parts. Applicants must be able to work quality to demanding specifications on any one of 4 shifts within a 24 X 7 manufacturing environment for an 11 month contract. Concise written English is required to communicate technical information within DMR's (Discrepant Material Reports). Clearly written and spoken English is necessary to accurately relay technical information concerning visual and dimensional part aspects to Production Managers on the floor.
Experience: Plastics preferred.
First Article Inspection: calipers; laser metrics; optical metrics; CMM (Coordinate Measurement Machines).
Software: PeopleSoft; Excel Spreadsheets.
Basic Statistical Knowledge: Trend and Run Reports.
Extras: Specific experience with Drift Characteristics and Special Cause Variation.
REQUIREMENTS
This is an 11 month, contract position. 3 openings on day shift, 3 openings on night shift. Shifts are 12 hours for 3 days and 6 hours for one day: 3 1/2 days on; 3 1/2 days off. Hourly pay depends on experience, from $11 - $15, with a .45 night shift differential.
