Production Superintendent-Van Buren

Westlake Chemical Corporation is a manufacturer of petrochemicals and plastics located at sites throughout the US and Canada.
We have an excellent opportunity for you to serve as a Production Superintendent for our North American Pipe division, located at our Van Buren, AR facility.
REQUIREMENTS
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1) Directs the activities of each department through 4 Shift Supervisors who are responsible for producing effective results within their area of responsibilities.

2) Confers with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls, and to obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.

3) Plans and directs production activities and establishes production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.

4) Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications, and operating or production problems.

5) Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED with ten plus years of progressive experience including 5 years in supervision/management
Prefer background in plastics extrusion (PVC pipe a plus).
